Newburgh, NY – Paying it forward still exists in our world, this incredible story proves it! A Christmas miracle for Kia M, of Newburgh. Kia expressed to Jerry, an active parishioner of St. Mary’s Church and now St. Francis Church, that her boiler was no longer functioning and that she and her family were struggling to get heat in their home. After she explored all of her financing options, she discovered that she was not eligible for the New York State Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP). Kia’s home suffered from broken pipes, frozen pipes, and water damage. Jerry donated his time gathering resources to get Kia warm. Fred Purdy of Newburgh WinSupply, Craig Sakolish, of IBC Boilers kindly donated one heat and hot water combination boiler for use in Kia’s home. Royal Class Service, of New Windsor worked together with St. Francis of Assisi church, of Newburgh, along with Jerry and the others to make this happen for Kia. Matt Pillius, Owner of Royal Class Service, partnered with Father Bill Damroth, and Gloria Yonnone, to provide all of the necessary parts for a complete boiler installation, along with a labor donation from Royal Class Service. The frozen pipes were repaired, the new boiler and parts were installed, free of charge. They were able to make Kia and her children warm and cozy once again!

“My family is so grateful for all of the volunteers and donations that allowed us to be able to take a hot shower and a warm house to relax in after a long day at school or after working a double shift. This was the best Christmas/Birthday gift for us all. Thanks a million!” –  Kia M.
